Several years ago, I had a fun hobby painting rocks. I really enjoyed looking at the hand sized rocks and visualizing an animal within. Then with a few brush strokes, I brought the rocks to life. When I retire, I'm going to take up this hobby again.
I used to do that too. Someone at work brought in a book on painting plants on rocks and we painted several and put them outside. Some of them are still there nearly ten years later. I thought it was so cool I bought a book on painting animals on rocks for my kids. Some of theirs are still around. I painted a racoon and put him on the back step. He's pretty good size and I got a lot of compliments on him. It's fun to do, but I don't do it anymore, I'm trying to scrapbook now.
Your painted rocks are amazing. I've seen painted rocks before, but nothing as well done as yours. I dabble in oil paint on canvas board but I've never tried rocks. Looks like fun!
Why wait until you retire? The market for stuff like this is amazing right now with all the people putting in water gardens and backyard patios. They're staying home from big vacations and creating outdoor party rooms. These are awesome and you could do good with them right now.
Thanks everyone for checking our my rocks and commenting. It really is fun to search for rocks and search for the animal within. It's fun and exciting to see what emerges.

That is too cool. I wasn't thinking that when you said painted rocks. Those are very creative. I've never seen anything like that.
How utterly unique! As well as very cool! They look great.
Very neat!

They are great. I wish I could do this, I would have them all around my garden.

Those are really cool. It's always good to have more than one outlet for our creativity.
What beautiful creations! I'm particularly fond of the turtle, but then I've always been a sucker for turtles. :)

Those are so cool, Carol Ann!

This is way cool, Carol Ann. If there are animals in your stories you could use these as sought after prizes.
You are really very good at this!
Carol Ann, those are AMAZING. Like Diana said, that's not what I was expecting. Way cool. Thanks to Maggie for the second nudge at taking a peek!
I like the cats, and, of all things, the snake...

Paul wants a turtle, cause it's a little slow like me.
