Any Castle Fans Out There?

I follow several loops where Castle is torn apart because of the "technical" things presented in the episodes. In my opinion, it doesn't matter. Why?

As a writer, I love the series for the characters and their interactions with each other. I adore the relationship between Richard and his daughter and mother. Richard is the perfect hero. He's witty and very amusing. The attraction between him and Decker is wonderfully portrayed. I wish I could mimic this in my novels. Both characters are superb at portraying their emotions through eye contact and body language. It's not the "murder" and the way it's solved that draws me...no, it's the characters and what makes them tick that pulls me to the television every Monday night.

So, what about you? Ever watch Castle? How do you feel?

I agree Carol! I don't watch it for the murder solving, I watch it for the charactors and let's face it, Nathan Fillion is easy on the eyes! ;-)
I love the relationship he has with his daughter and mother! It's so sweet, and Decker and the other cops form their own kind of family.
It's a great show, and I really enjoy it! So glad it lasted longer than one season! lol

I love this show. The simmering romantic attraction between the two leads reminds me of the long ago TV show Moonlighting. And I started to watch it because the Castle is a writer!

I love the Castel series too. The characters are terrific and that's pretty much why I watch any show or read any book for that matter. A agree about the Moonlighting reference. Rick's mom and daughter are a delight and Rick as a dad is much fun to watch.

I love this show, and the banter is one of the main reasons why. I also love how Ryan and Esposito have their own little camaraderie and banter -- they could have been stock secondary characters, but they're not.

I'm looking forward to having them back!

I love this show. The sexual tension is great, and the secondary characters are wonderful foils. I've gone so far as to connect with "Richard Castle" on Twitter (yes, he's out there, and amusingly, his birthday is April 1st!) I've also purchased and read "Heat Wave", the book supposedly written by Castle. It's worth it just for the "author interview" in the back of the book! Very sly and witty tongue-in-cheek fun!

Hi! Castle is my favorite show, and I love the characters for the reasons others have mentioned. I especially love Castle's poker games with other real authors. And Nathan Fillion is definitely a cutie! I also bought HEAT WAVE, and it's in my To Be Read pile. I DVR the Castle shows so I can play back my favorite scenes.

Oh I love Castle!!! A cop show with humor, family, and crime-solving. Kudos to the writers and especially to the actors. Castle stays in my TiVo box "until I delete". The episodes are fun enough to be watched more than once.

Woo hoo! I'm so thrilled to find that I'm not the only one who loves the series. I'm so excited to see tonight's episode because of the way it ended last season! Thanks for sharing with me. I'm looking forward to doing a follow-up tomorrow after the episode airs, so feel free to stop back and add your reactions!

I've loved Castle since the first episode!!! The poker games are cool like another commenter said because of the other real authors and their comments. I think Castle's mind works like a real writer's mind in most ways. Like me, he mulls things over, thinks about them, even obsesses on them sometimes, and the solution pops into his mind like a light blub goiung off. ALso like many writers he seems to find excuses to NOT write sometimes! My house gets rteally clean when I don't know what to write next! I should be recording the episodes to keep but I never think of it in time. I love the bumper music they play before a commercial.
